Embarking on a New Academic Journey – RPg (PhD and MPhil) Orientation 2025

The Graduate School (GS) welcomed 55 new Research Postgraduate (RPg) students to the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) during an orientation session on 3 September 2025.

The event commenced with an inspiring welcome address by the new Dean of the GS, Professor Junjun Chen. Prof Chen encouraged students to embrace curiosity, pursue excellence, and make the most of their research journey. GS colleagues, including Research Assistant Professor Dr Liubov Darzhinova, RPg Programme Coordinator Dr Lian Yi, and Academic Tutor Dr John Patkin, provided an overview of the programme structure, academic resources, and support systems. The session equipped students with key insights into the RPg programmes and the University, setting the tone for a year of discovery and growth.
