You are cordially invited to attend the Academic Summer Institute on Language Education, titled “Ecological Languaging: Linguistics for the Real World”. 

This summer institute will bring together a globally recognized faculty and participants from diverse regions to explore innovative themes in language education, including: 

  • Theme 1: Revisiting the Notion of “Language Proficiency” In Language Education 
  • Theme 2: Conceptualizing Languaging 
  • Theme 3: Alternative Approaches to Assessment from ELC Perspectives 
  • Theme 4: Enhancing Language Education Infrastructure in Different Contexts 

To acquire a certificate, you must attend at least one session for each of the four themes 

The institute will follow a flipped classroom model with interactive live sessions.

It is structured to accommodate different time zones through two parallel sessions per day, maximizing global reach and engagement.

Fee Non-EdUHK: HK$80  EdUHK students and staff: Free of charge
