| Abstract | This webinar will demonstrate the adaptation of interventions using Implementation Science (IS) concepts. Experts in IS (Boyd et al., 2021) contend that well designed and controlled interventions that are adapted without stakeholder involvement often are not as effective or sustainable, as shown in the areas in education, mental health, and autism services (e.g., Aarons et al., 2011; Fishman et al., 2013; Suhrheinrich et al., 2013). IS researchers call for the need to evaluate intervention by incorporating the principles of: Understanding current challenges and gaps of stakeholders prior to implementation via survey methods; Incorporating end-user feedback at different implementation stages via focus groups; and Involving stakeholders in the design, development, modification, and Intervention dissemination (Fixen et al, 2005; Glasgow et al, 2012) to maximize its application and utilization for effective outcomes. |
