Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (2026/27)

- Established by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) in 2009.
- Aims to attract the best students from around the world to pursue PhD studies in Hong Kong.
- Provides a monthly stipend of HK$28,400 (approx. US$3,640) and a conference travel allowance of HK$14,200 (approx. US$1,820) per year for up to three years.
- Additional financial support (monthly stipend) will be provided by the Graduate School for students within the normative period of study (4-Year PhD).^
- University Accommodation: Guaranteed on-campus accommodation during the normative period of study*
- One-year tuition fee waiver to the HKPFS awardees for the 4th year of study (4-Year PhD)#
