Visiting Research Postgraduate Students
Current students enrolled in a full-time PhD / MPhil programme / or equivalent in a recognized university outside Hong Kong are eligible to apply for admission as Visiting Research Postgraduate Students at EdUHK. To proceed with the application for the Scheme, applicants are invited to provide the following documents by email to rpg@eduhk.hk:
Required Application Documents
- A completed visiting student application form (click here to download)
- Academic certificate(s) and transcript(s);
- Overseas Credentials Evaluation Report (國(境)外學歷學位認證書) or Online Verification Report(s) issued by the CHSI (學信網) of degree(s) (if applicable);
- Testimonial and supporting letter of the current programme of study issued by the home university;
- An updated CV;
- A research proposal;
- A copy of passport/Mainland ID; and
- Consent from the proposed host supervisor at EdUHK (e.g. email conversation) regarding the application for the Visiting RPg Student Programme.
Application Deadlines
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
Important Notes
- Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee, a student visa fee, and caution money.
- A visiting period may range from a minimum of one month to a maximum of 180 days within any 12-month period..
- Kindly note that on-campus accommodation is not applicable to visiting students. Before arrival, students are reminded to make their own arrangements for off-campus accommodation and personal accident, travel and health insurance covering the entire study period in Hong Kong.
- Visiting RPg students are not eligible for any scholarships or financial assistance in their capacity as visiting students.
