Prof Chan emphasised that researchers should not only apply existing research but also advance their areas of interest through co-creation. He also urged all students to seek new knowledge and expose themselves to different cultures.

The two professors stressed that publications are crucial for building an academic profile as they can enable networking and competitiveness.  Drawing on their experience, they encouraged students to utilise support services and incentives to speed up their work and  academic output.   They mentioned events such as the publication awards as examples of some of the additional opportunities available for RPg students.
