Abstract:
This seminar prepares doctoral students and early-career researchers to become effective academic peer reviewers. Participants will gain a clear understanding of what makes a high-quality review, from aligning with journal scope and ethical standards to providing constructive, actionable feedback. The session introduces the core principles of good reviewing, including timeliness, confidentiality, and expertise alignment, then walks through a step-by-step review process, from the initial read-through to decision guidance and writing professional reviews.
Through discussion and reflection, participants will learn how to deliver fair, developmental evaluations that support both editorial rigor and scholarly growth. The seminar concludes with practical takeaways, including reviewer checklists, journal resources, and an open call to join the EISFL Journal reviewer community.
We look forward to seeing you there!
All are welcome.
Best regards,
Graduate School
