Abstract
Research synthesis is a critical process in the academic and scientific community, enabling scholars to aggregate and interpret findings from multiple studies to draw comprehensive conclusions. This talk will provide a brief overview of different types of research synthesis, including systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and narrative syntheses. It will then focus on systematic/scoping reviews and demonstrate how reviews can be done. The talk will highlight the importance of defining clear research questions, selecting appropriate databases, and employing rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria. Additionally, we will briefly discuss strategies for data extraction, quality assessment, and the synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data. In the talk, I shall share insights related to conducting and publishing systematic/scoping reviews.
We look forward to seeing you there!
All are welcome.
Best regards,
Graduate School
