My research focuses on teacher competence assessment, classroom observation, and adaptive learning application technologies. In recent years, I have been recognised as an Outstanding Entrepreneur of Guangdong Province and a Top Talent of Xijiang District, Zhaoqing City. I have led science and technology projects at multiple national, provincial, municipal, and district levels, received several technology awards and certificates, and filed 28 patents. I have also co-authored seven books, including “Methods and Techniques for Micro-lesson Production.” The Doctor of Education (EdD) program provided me with a crucial bridge between practice and academia. Its extensive academic network has opened up new horizons for me. Exchanges with scholars and classmates from diverse cultural backgrounds have deepened my understanding of the complexity of educational issues and the diversity of solutions. These valuable connections have facilitated numerous cross-regional collaborative research projects, enabling my research to be tested and disseminated on broader platforms. Therefore, to those who also stand at the intersection of practice and academia, my advice is: do not regard the EdD as just another crowning achievement in your career, but as a valuable process of refinement. It refines your experience, transforming it into knowledge; it refines your visions, making them more forward-looking; and ultimately, it refines your identity, enabling you to become a true bridge between academia and industry, someone who illuminates practice with theory and enriches theory with practice.
