The Graduate School held a series of career-focused workshops for MEd students in November 2025 and January 2026. The “EdU Venture 2 – Inside You: Personality & Career Fit” seminars boosted communication between MEd students and their academic advisors.

Graduate School counsellor Ms Melanie Tang facilitated the sessions, addressing students’ common concerns about career options. Through an interactive personality game and reflective sharing on overcoming negative traits, Ms Tang guided participants to take ownership of their paths. She advised students to be their own boss and test their choices through real-world experiences, such as internships.

Following the presentation, students chatted with their academic advisors over light refreshments, discussing how to align their personal traits with career goals. For students targeting the Hong Kong local job market, advisors Professor Kenneth Sin (SNC Area Coordinator) and Dr Chris Tsang (MEd Programme Director) emphasised improving biliteracy and trilingualism, particularly Cantonese proficiency, as a key asset.

The event fostered a warm, supportive atmosphere, concluding with enhanced self-awareness among students and strengthened relationships with academic advisors. The Graduate School plans to continue organising such events to support student development further.
