EdUHK 3MT® Competition 2026 showcases postgraduate student research
The Graduate School hosted the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition on 17 March 2026. Held in English and Putonghua, 13 students were challenged to present their research in three minutes using a single PowerPoint slide. Platinum award winners included PhD students Ms Tsang Hei and Mr Kong Yu Hin in the English section and Mr Wang Yinglun from the EdD Chinese programme in the Putonghua competition. Hosted by the Graduate School, the event aims to enhance the academic, presentation and communication skills of doctoral students.
This year’s competition welcomed back judges Professor Andy Gao from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and Professor Looi Chee Kit, Associate Dean of the EdUHK Graduate School. At the end of the three-hour competition, Professors Gao and Looi provided valuable feedback for the 13 contestants who shared their research with fellow graduate students.
