課程目標
EdD課程的目標如下：
- 提升專業素養，栽培學員擔任領導角色，以應對複雜的教育挑戰；
- 培訓從業人員將研究成果轉化為切實可行的方案，推動積極變革；
- 促進國際學習，提升畢業生在不同文化和專業背景下進行知識轉移的能力；
- 從不同角度批判地分析教育政策、程序或實踐；
- 培養創業精神，鼓勵學員通過創新方法為社會及商業發展作出有影響力的貢獻。
課程完成後，學生應能夠：
- 在專業領域和更廣泛的教育場景中展示專門的知識、見解和技能；
- 建構適當的理論框架，處理和分析不同類型的教育議題，提出創新的解決方法；
- 培養洞悉專業領域研究趨勢的識見，並展現出能為該領域的專業文獻作出貢獻的能力;
- 從不同角度批判地分析教育政策、程序或實踐；
- 有效地將專業領域內的概念和理論傳達給本地和國際的同儕；
- 對專業領域內的倫理實踐展示出充分的認識。
修業年限及課程結構
課程共七十二學分，一般於週六上、下午及平日晚上修課。上課地點主要為大埔校園、將軍澳教學中心、北角教學中心、九龍塘衛星教學中心或其他地點；論文及導修課的上課模式及安排由導師依個別情況決定。

專業領域
申請人在申請過程中只可選擇以下其中一個專業領域:

2. 申請資訊
入學要求
基本入學要求
- 申請人必須持有教育學科或與所選專業領域相關之碩士學位。
- 有四年或以上工作經驗者優先考慮。
通過初步遴選的申請人會獲安排面試。
中文要求
申請人應表現出高水準的中文口語和書寫能力。如申請人的母語不是中文，又未嘗取得中文為主要授課語言的學位，必須通過中國漢語水準考試（HSK）6級，或具備同等能力。
英文要求
申請人所持學位如由非英語授課的院校頒發，一般須展示其英語能力達至基本水平。以下是各專業領域對英語能力之要求：
- 未來教育領導力*、健康研究、教育資訊與通訊科技、中文教育、數學教育、體育教育與運動科學、科學與可持續發展教育、公民素養教育、課程研究、社會科學與政策研究、特殊教育
- 以上專業領域會於面試時考核申請人的英語水平。
- * IELTS學術/TOEFL 閱讀部分成績優良獲優先考慮。
- 創意藝術教育、幼兒教育
- IELTS學術閱讀部分成績達6.0，或具備其他同等資格。
- 發展與教育心理學
- IELTS 達6.5，或具備其他同等資格。
入學申請程序
學費
- 本課程於2025/26年度之學費為每學分港幣五千五百元。七十二個學分學費為港幣三十九萬六千元。上述學費可能於日後有所調整，已繳學費一般不獲退還或轉授。
- 超逾常規修讀期限（全日制三年/兼讀制四年）之學生，需繳交延期修讀費用。
獎學金
Entrance Scholarship for Outstanding Non-local Students
Doctor of Education (EdD) Entrance Scholarship for Outstanding Non-local Students (the Scholarship) is established to attract outstanding non-local candidates to the Programme.
The Scholarship
- The Scholarship covers the 72-cp programme tuition fees and a living allowance of HK$40,000 per year (up to three years) to cover partial living expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Scholarship applicant must be a full-time non-local* applicant admitted to the EdD programme*

Selection Criteria
The following criteria, in no particular order, will be assessed:
- Academic performance – in the study of master’s degree with a final GPA of 3.3 out of 4 or 3.5 out of 4.3 or above or equivalent. If the applicant is a final-year student, the Scholarship offer will remain conditional. The applicant must provide proof of a final Programme GPA upon completing the master’s study; if the final GPA requirement is not met, the Scholarship offer will be revoked.
- Outstanding personal development and achievement (e.g. sports, art, music, culture, etc.)
- Outstanding participation in social and community services (e.g. overall impact, length of services, nature of services, location, number and profile of beneficiaries, public recognition, initiation of community projects, etc. should be provided)
- Contribution to the internationalisation of the EdD programme
Application Procedure
- Eligible applicants will be invited to submit applications for The Scholarship. Invited applicants should submit a completed application form, a Personal Statement and supporting documents (if any) to EdD by a stipulated deadline.

海外學習體驗
國際交流項目
為了培養學生的國際視野並增加他們對多元文化環境的接觸 ，教育博士(中文班) 特別為學生安排國際交流項目(IOSP)。 在IOSP期間，EdD學生參與各種知識與學術交流活動，包括工作坊、與海外研究生建立學術網絡及進行學術交流、參觀和文化導賞等等。在過去幾年，EdD學生到訪了美國、英國、法國、德國、挪威、芬蘭、瑞典、澳洲、紐西蘭、俄羅斯、日本、韓國和新加坡等地的著名大學。
