You are cordially invited to join a workshop, titled “Survival Cantonese Workshop for the Hong Kong Workplace: Understand, Speak, Succeed (識聽識講識搵工 廣東話急救班)”, co-organise by SAO on 12 November 2026.

This workshop will enhance your Cantonese communication skills, familiarise you with standard Hong Kong workplace etiquette, and provide step-by-step guidance through group scenario practice, simulated interviews, and daily office dialogue.

Important Notes請在報名前細閱以下守則： 

  1. All Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Doctor of Philosophy (EdD) and Master of Education (MEd) students are welcome to enrol. 活動歡迎所有研究型博士、研究型碩士、教育博士及教育碩士參加。
  2. Successful registrants are required to watch a self-study video (approximately 1 hour) on the basics of “Jyutping” before the workshop. 成功註冊的學生須於參加工作坊前觀看一段約一小時, 內容涵蓋「粵拼 Jyutping」基礎知識的自學影片。
  3. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email. Please reply to the email to secure your place. 成功報名的參加者將會收到確認電郵，你必須於11月1日（星期日）或之前回覆該電郵確認出席，同學回覆後即代表成功預留名額。若未收到任何通知，則表示你的申請不成功。
  4. Students who do not attend after confirming their place may be given lower priority for future Graduate School activities. 由於名額有限，如同學獲取錄後最終缺席活動，本學期參與研究生院其他活動的機會將會降低。
  5. Late arrivals (more than 15 minutes) may not be admitted, and their places may be reallocated to other students. 已回覆確認出席後的同學，當日遲到15分鐘將不能進入會場，其位置將分發給其他同學。
  6. Accurate personal and programme information must be provided during registration. 報名時需填寫正確的個人及課程資料，否則將失去參加資格。
  7. Slots are NOT TRANSFERABLE. 成功報名者的名額不得轉讓。
  8. All arrangements and decisions are subject to the final discretion of the Graduate School. 一切決定將以研究生院為準。
