Ms Tsang received the news during the EdUHK Postgraduate Student Publication Awards, in which she was honoured for a journal article on dieting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dean of the Graduate School, Professor Junjun Chen, noted the significance of the achievement, \u201cMs Tsang is the first PhD student to receive this award. The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowship recognises Ms Tsang\u2019s outstanding contribution to Hong Kong through her research into healthy eating and exercise.\u201d Prof Chen added that, \u201cThe GS will continue to support postgraduate students by recognising and celebrating their efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Tsang\u2019s research on \u201cIntermittent Dieting and Resistance Training\u201d focuses on integrating evidence-based nutrition and strength training into practical applications. Her goal strongly aligns with the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowship&#8217;s criteria, as she aims to share research outcomes by delivering up-to-date nutrition and exercise recommendations through community initiatives in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before commencing her PhD, Ms Tsang qualified as a Dietitian. She established herself as a leading advocate for healthy eating and exercise, winning the Gold Medal at the 2023 Asian Pacific African Classic Bench Press Championship.
