On November 8, 2024, the Graduate School held an online information seminar focused on the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) and the PhD and MEd programs offered by the Education University of Hong Kong. 63 attendees from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Chinese Mainland, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Somaliland, South Africa, Turkey, and Vietnam joined the online seminar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar began with a comprehensive overview of the PhD program and the HKPFS by Dr. Lucas Kohnke. His presentation detailed the program\u2019s structure, research opportunities, and available support systems for students. Dr Liubov Darzhinova reflected on her journey toward earning a PhD at EdUHK, highlighting both the challenges and successes encountered along the way. She also offered practical advice for securing the HKPFS funding and emphasized key areas that doctoral students should focus on during their studies. Dr Jing Yu introduced the MEd program, discussing its curriculum, areas of focus, and scholarship opportunities. The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, during which the attendees asked various questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
