Dear Teacher\/Researcher\/Professor\/Colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we cordially invite you to attend theJoint Symposium on Identity and Intercultural Communication in the Digital Age, which will be held on Saturday, 27 April 2024<\/strong>. This event is jointly organized by the Department of English Language Education, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK<\/strong>) and International Centre for Intercultural Studies, Institute of Education (IOE<\/strong>), University College London (UCL), featuring Professor Li Wei<\/strong>, Professor Zhu Hua<\/strong> and Professor John O’Regan<\/strong> from UCL and Professor Angel Lin Mei Yi<\/strong>, Professor Gu Mingyue Michelle<\/strong>, Dr Gao Fang Tina<\/strong>, and Dr Gube Jan Christian C <\/strong>from EdUHK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invited talks at the Joint Symposium will cover the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–        AI and intercultural communication <\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–        Trans-culturing communication<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–        Bilingual students\u2019 sociocultural and educational practices<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–        Digitally mediated identity<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–        Teacher education for culturally diverse classrooms<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
