On November 15, 2024, the Graduate School hosted its third online information seminar about the EdUHK\u2019s PhD program and the existing funding opportunities, such as the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) and the EdUHK Research Postgraduate Studentship. 20 registrants from Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Chinese Mainland, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, and Russia took part in the seminar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Lucas Kohnke delivered a presentation summarizing the key peculiarities of the PhD program, opportunities for research skill development, overseas experiences, and award schemes available to doctoral students. Ms Burcu Mirkelam, a PhD candidate, discussed her motivations for pursuing a PhD at EdUHK. She also offered her guidance to prospective applicants on what aspects to focus on when preparing an application and throughout their doctoral studies. During the Q&A session, both speakers and the RPg team representative addressed queries related to the application process, including supervisor support, language proficiency requirements, and preparation for admission interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
